The Secret Life of a Shameless Demon is a storytelling-based, musical, and experimental performance written and composed by Pouya Pour-Amin, created in collaboration with Saba Pouyeshman, an Oslo-based actor and visual artist from Iran.
The work unfolds as a sonic narrative, inviting the audience into a house where silence has taken hold. In this silence, a woman burns quietly—her story hidden and unheard. Then, a demon arrives to break the stillness, reshaping the house and altering its atmosphere. From that moment, everyone inside becomes part of the unfolding tale, carried through shifting layers of voice, sound, and resonance.
Performed at Nordic Black Theatre (May 2025), Hvitsten Salong Festival (August 2025), and Gamle Munch (October 2025) as part of the EMPWRNG VOICES Festival.
A one-day workshop, exploring the transformation of a musical storytelling performance into a performative art practice. Through experimentation and collaboration, the workshop opens the work to other disciplines—theatre, dance, music, and visual art—testing new performative forms and collective processes.
